Greetings,

I am putting a FBL head on my x50 and the new ball links (both on the grip to swash rods and on the swash driver) BARELY rub the lower swash plate. If I sand a flat spot on the bottom of the links (would not take much) would that create a weakness issue of significance? Anyone ever had the need to do this? Thanks in advance.

Yes it will cause a weak area and if bends in that area under stress it will let go eventually. I do not have experience doing this but I've seen tail push rod break from grit in the rod guide weakening an area

To whomever moved this, I looked for a "FBL head" forum and a "ball link" forum and did not see one. Since this issue could arise on any helicopter and not just the x50 I chose not to post it in the x50 forum. Thanks.
