Unbalanced blades aren't your problem, either.

post #11 is how I set up my nano for the first few weeks of flying it.

There is a ton of other good advice specific to the DX6i, too.
I wouldnt bother balancing either, they just dont need it. You have a bent feathering shaft if they are not on the same plane. Some crashes bend the thin shaft, you can try straightening the shaft if bent. To test take off one blade and hold the main grip with the blade on to stop it spinning. Use one the tools for tightening the feathering shaft and spin the shaft. The opposite blade will move about if bent.

I have had similar issues caused by a bent spindle shaft, the vibes mess with the as3x. Also had similar issues caused by dirty servos. I just spray the servos with contact cleaner, then spray with some stuff called "job lube" that is like contact cleaner with an electronics safe lubricant. Let dry before powering up.
I have never flown mine with a dx4, but I have seen radios that act funny around center.

Thanks guys.

Didn't fly today as we trekked into Boston and now it's raining.

I will check the feathering shaft and clean the servos. This will give me something to do while the thunderstorms roll through.

So it was a very loooooong 2 weeks, but I finally got my dx6i back.

Loaded and tested several variations of some very tame settings and the damn thing still flew like I was hitting the aileron and down elevator.

So....... I bought another one. What the hey. Gonna need spares anyway.

And guess what? This one flys a lot better.

Guess it's time to start putting some new parts in the first one.

I wonder if it was an issue with main board and AS3X going nuts, you might be able to switch main boards and see if it still happens.

But glad you got at least on working

I will try that tomorrow. Will also try cleaning the servos, and replacing the feathering shaft. After that if it's acting up I will send it back to HH.
