XP7a wiring diagram?
I've been searching for a wiring diagram for an XP7a and I have found some with the Steve convertor but not without. Maybe my search skills are lacking. Anyway I have an XP7a esc that has been flashed with BLHeli so I don't need to solder the Steve convertor (which I have but apparently its not necessary for this build?)
I purchased an MCPX that was someone's unfinished BL conversion project a while back and now that I have some basic soldering skills I am going to attempt to wire it up and see what happens. The build is pretty simple, I have an HP04 6500kv Spin motor, an XP7a, and a 120sr tail motor. I am going to try the double tail conversion later to see what it's like. I have a lot of 250 mah 1S cells so I will see how it does with those, but will the Tunigy nano-tech 300 mah batteries be a much better choice? Thanks in advance for any and all help and suggestions. Feel free to give me any more tips!

Here ya go, scroll down to find it
https://www.helifreak.com/showpost.p...91&postcount=1 There is no hp04 and 6500kv would be 2s. Check your stuff out before proceeding to make sure you are building a proper heli.

You're correct vtown nick! I have a terrible memory unfortunately. The motor is an H046 and is 6300kv. I'll check out the link and report back.
The motor is a pretty mild motor then? If so that's great since I am still learning basic flight skills. I was able to invert my stock mcpx today, hover and fly around a bit, and flip back to normal orientation for the first time today! Edit: checked out the link, still confused, lol. Here is a pic of what I have to work with.

Re: XP7a wiring diagram?
It's a spin 16300 kv, more on the wild side. Probably too much for 250 or 300mah batteries. Hyperion 550's would be my first choice.

Re: XP7a wiring diagram?
Xp7a installed
6300kv probably wouldn't lift the mcpx off the ground, it's defiantly a 16300 kv motor, and has power between the 14000kv hp05 and 16200kv hp06v2.

Crap! I'm in over my head, lol.
So cut the three wires (black, red, and white) off the right side that go to the black connector and toss them? Solder the blue wires on the left to the motor? Ill get some 550s. And what do I do with the signal points? This is awesome! Thanks for the help. Maybe I'll get this heli in the air and learn something.

Pretty much, solder the signal wire from the point shown for the main on the back of the main board in the above link to where the small white wire was hooked to the ESC. https://www.helifreak.com/attachment...8&d=1330623702

All right. So why is it necessary to remove the resistor on the esc in the pic you linked to?
As far as the throttle points, do I solder the wire directly to where the point of the arrow is, or does it not matter what side of the resistor? And do I leave the resistor in place? Edit: I inspected my esc further and it appears the resistor I was asking about in this post is not there or has already been removed!

solder the signal wire to the board at the arrow, it matters which side of the resistor you tap signal from. You can/should leave the resistor in place.
