What it worth?
My LHS Has a JS Frenzy for sale. They took it on trade. Its been flown about 10 times and is fairly new. It has an OS .50 SX- Hring hyper motor and Revolution pipe. There is no electronics with it. It also has CY carbon fiber blades on it. He did say it had a couple other upgrades but not sure what they were. He wants $375 for it. That seems a little high to me yet. What do you guys think? I was going to buy a trex 600 nitro flybarless, but he is trying to talk me into this. I went in there offering to buy the motor and pipe out of it to put in a trex. He wanted $200 for the motor and pipe.

steal or not
Hello,
It's always difficult to estimate the value of an offer, if equipment is used. How the bird was built and the engine treated often determines if it's a steal or someone robbed? Discounting the USD 200.- (engine + muffler) of the whole deal of USD 375.- means USD 175.- for a Fenzy-50 3D V2 (is it the newest version? maybe even torque-tube?) with carbon mains. Considering a new Frenzy-50 V2 kit (e.g. Amainhobbies) is at USD 150.- and any decent carbon mains will cost you an other USD 50.- .. and considering no freight cost (within US), the offered USD 175.- for this bird are fair. Maybe the bird you have been offered even has the mods some recommend - as the Raptor-50 gear etc.? If you buy the Fenzy, check where you will get your spares from - as not all LHS might carry this model and some people don't order spares on-line? As people always rely on the TR600 as comparison/ benchmark: IMO the T-Rex600 Nitro is the lately most sold nitro-bird in the world, but regarding flight performance (precision versus agility) this bird is no bench-mark at all .. a Frenzy with 140 degrees eCCPM will do at least as good as a TR600 regarding precision, meanwhile the TR600 might still be a little bit more agile? IMO the TR600 has some built-in *imperfections* and the whole frame is to stiff regarding vibrations .. Best Regards, Oliver P.S: The reason of the TR600s success is not it's flight-performance, then the attractive combos offered and the relatively cheap spare highly available everywhere .. sure, the bling of carbon and alumina had some impact as well, most people perceiving this as a sign of quality |

Thank you for the nice response. The kit is the .50 V2 kit. It has the same canopy as the one shown on Amainhobbies website with the heli. I looked up the main blades. They are about $100. I think this model has a belt drive tail though. The kit was nicely built and looks new. I was looking in the for sale section on here for an OS .50 hyper. Just to get a used price. I had found the engine and pipe for less money on here than what he is asking. Also the only place I know where to get parts is at Amainhobby. I would have to order from them every time I need parts.

This may answer my own question, but here is what it would be new.
3d Frenzy kit = 150 CY main blades= 95 OS .50 hyper= 210 Revolution pipe= 38 Total for everything new is $493 He is asking $375. Since it isnt what I really wanted to begin with. I think he will have to come down a little more for me to buy it. I wanted to go flybarless with the trex 600. I would still have to buy a flybarless head if I buy the Frenzy. Also I see the torque tube cnc tail at Amainhobby but I dont see the torque tube itself. If I did buy it I would want to convert it to torque tube also. On edit never mind. I just read that the frames are different for torque tube.
