You don't absolutely need the disk as the basic programming can be done with your TX and you can go fly. I don't think the program cards work on the Kosmik. But the disk gives you access to things like capacity shutoff, BEC voltage, etc.

Note that you can also use the bluetooth module to do all the programming if you have an Android device. It does everything the disk does, and more. The single exception is that it has a bug when setting capacity cutoff.

Damn, the capacity feature is the one I would like access to the most.

Anyone using the battery monitor module?

If you are referring to the SCG I have a few on the way.

The Progcards do not work with the Kosmik and BT modules do not do the updates like the Progdisc.

Yes, I was referring to the scg unit. Looks good and availability is good. The progdisc on the other hand is harder to find in stock anywhere.

The paperwork with the scg module says it requires software 4.2 or larger. Is it unless until new software is released?

Also... If using the Bluetooth module keep in mind that the mobile app does not allow for adjustment of the timing setting. Many use auto timing anyway, but if you desire to set fixed timing you must have a prog disc.

I'll need the Progdisc no matter what really. Then I don't need the bluetooth module
