It depends on how you fly. Most likely no.

I have them on my nitro 700 and my mileage does seem better, for my flying style I would say they may add a minute or two..The smooth performance is what I am liking more than flight time ..

We talking about in another thread, you can lower your pitch and have the same amount of pop, with less strain on the motor, so in return you would get longer flight time. But even Not lowering pitch Ive noticed i went from 4000mah to 3850-3900 each pack. but that could be a few different things. Im planing on flying atleast 50 flights with them and then going back to the stock SAB and see what happens.

Cyclone blades
I'm currently flying 11.8 on my pitch and it's pulling like 13 and some change. Left the rpm at 2130. It's crazy how efficient these blades are!

Thanks Alex, slowly starting to have fun with it again, been burnt since helifreak. this wasn't my home field either, Elevation 1,400 feet where I normally fly at sea level (15ft). 2135 rpm to be exact, nobody believes it, till they see the sky tack and pitch gauge.

Yup. I backed off 1 degree of pitch and get about 30 seconds more flight time with same pop. Amazing how quiet these blades are with perfect tracking and much less flutter.

I'm getting longer flight times, but left my pitch alone. I don't think they are as quiet as my Radix blades, and rather have a distinctive sound. I really like how they feel on my TDR and haven't put the Radix back on to do a proper A/B test.

Here is a video showing blade vortex interaction differences between conventional and swept blades in the real world...these blades are the ones that Nick modeled the Helix blades after...however, its the same principle behind the cyclone design.
Cyclone blades are the truth! And good luck going back to old style blades...you will hate them! I'm so pissed that I broke my cyclones..I'm hooked.

I was wondering why we haven't seen much of trainwreck on the forums. What's her name and when is the baby due?
Going to IRCHA Darren? Always wanting to watch your flights as you always fly your guts out for a crowd. (-: I don't remember many flights, but your epic high speed wall plow at HFFF and your expression after is not something I'll forget. Golden moment. Can't remember if Kyle was even there. ;-) |

Night and day actually in my case as far as sound goes. Its a bonus because I fly early mornings and the quieter the heli the better.(it has made that much of a difference on the Goblin) Good to know you are getting longer flight times with same pitch. Gonna grab another set for my 7HV and X5 when they come out with the proper size for sure.

Cyclone blades
Any plans for 715's?
I have a set of 695's already but the heli isn't light as far as 700's go and the lighter disc loading of the larger blade would be nice to play with.

555 is a good choice that was an awesome move even the name sounds cool. 615mm, is that Goblin blades or does that fit 600 class machines these days? I have been out of the 600 class for awhile.
