Default tracking changes with higher pitch

First of if it was mentioned somewhere, i did not find it.

My blades track almost perfect at full throttle and 0 pitch. Once i increase the pitch for lift off the tracking is all out of wag. Does anyone have an idea as to why or is it normal?

most likely your feathering shaft is bent. That will cause pitch change differences between the blades.

I had the same problem with the stock head. No matter what I did it would never track right. Also the esky blades are worthless. I'd say get some align 325 pro blades first. if it still don't track right I'd get in the market for a cnc head assembly. Trust me its worth it

I am contemplating a good cnc head or going with an ARF EXI 450. The feathering shaft is new as is the mainshaft and a few other parts after I tried to mow down a 5 foot agave. I am still debating which way to go.

Take a blade in each hand and turn each blade (like giving pitch pos and neg ) if you can move them more then 1 a 2mm there is to much play on the head, check links.

Having just been through this, my advice would be to check EVERY link and screw/bolt in the head and swash assembly. I will guarantee you will find something which is too loose. By the way, do not have any of these too tight either. Has to be just right, and trial and error will find it I am afraid. Oh and a good set of blades will help. Use the stock pEsky woodies to start your next fire!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I just bought the EXI and am very impressed by it's quality. The base model has the metal head block and washout base and is very smooth and solid.

I have the same problem, can never get the thing to track well. was tracking within a half inch and then i flipped into idle up and it went to 1 1/2". I tried a flip and almost crashed just because the tracking was so bad. now i get to go through every link and probably replace most of them and see if that helps. If i had some spare cash i would ditch this entire heli. nothing but a nightmare of fiddling and i've been flying this thing for quite some time.

Something is terribly wrong in your set up if your blades are out that far!

Mine was the same way with the stock plastic. Idle up through it all out of wack.

I doubt that. just slop in the bearings and links. of course i am using align 325 pros the blades are balanced perfectly. tracking has been a constant issue with this head.

Are you using spacers in the grips that are not the same width? Try using your spacers either both on top of the blade in each grip, or both on the bottom of the blade in each grip. Not one on top one on the bottom in each grip! Do you get what I mean?

my spacers are the same and both on top. however, after ripping apart the head, yet again. I replaced most of the balls and a few sloppy links and the tracking did improve. I tested tracking in normal and got it dead on in a hover so i flipped into idle up and it was off 1/2" so i adjusted and now i have about 1/4" in both normal and idle up. My conclusion is this is a result of a few possible problems: the servos have developed about 1/8" of slop. The swashplate bearing has developed some slop at just 25 flights old. And the Align pro blades trailing edge is very slightly warped. I have polished this turd for about 2 hours and got minimal results. doing tricks in idle up is most likely a death sentence. the solution. buy an exi, some 50-65mg's and good cf blades. damn this economy or I would have them!

Solved the tracking for the most part. it was the blades, the trailing edge was slightly warped. i replaced them and it tracks fine.
