Lipotech 26-10 & Platinum PRO 80A

I've got a second hand Protos with an old Lipotec 26-10 14 pole 820Kv motor and an HobbyWing Platinum 80A PRO
the previous owner set timing 7.5° and PWM 8KHz
For what i've understood it should be set Timing 15° and PWM 12KHz, could someone please confirm that?

Its seems pretty hard to get good info about settings for a specific ESC & motor combo (except maybe Castle & Scorpion combos)
Motor timing & pwm theory will only get you an idea of how it is supposed to react if you change something..... but the usefulness of theory stops there.

I for example would love to know the optimal settings for the Lipotech motor and my YEP ESC. Guess i just have to find out myself, but it is so hard to judge without a data-logger. Motor temperature and climbout power are my measurement points.

Thanks for your support. Setting ESC it is very new for me, it is the first proper bird i have to setup.
I've read many articles about advance timing and PWM but i can't still really understand what they mean.
15° should increase motor performance but it will also increase heat and power consumption, 8° will probably help to keep motor cooler. 12KHz should be the right setting.
I'll have to experiment though.

From an old thread - it was said that the Lipotech people recommended 16kHz PWM

This is what I've been using and there's good performance and relatively cool motor temps.

I've read that post and some other about this motor. I can choose only between 12KHz and 8KHz. 12KHz should be the right one for my ESC. About timing 15° should be the best one because lipotech 26-10 motor has 14 pole. I'll make some test measuring temperature and power consumption.
How much did you set advance timing?

I'm using a YGE 60 ESC

PWM=16 kHz
Timing 18° (listed as "optimal setting for MSH/Scorpion 880 motor" in MSH/YGE ESC manual, I used this setting even though it's the Lipotech motor)
IGain= 0.05
PGain= 0.9
Startup Power= Auto
