Strange Current Chart
I had this strange drop in current during a flight. The flight was a simple hover only in my front yard.
Does anyone have any idea why the step change in current? Bird is: Raptor e550 10T/111T gear ratio OBL 43/11 Motor 1050 kV (RPM/V) 75A ACERC esc AUW 3766g Zippy 25C 6S 5000 mah

What it kind of looks like to me is that you either had something binding that freed up after a bit, or you were running two different headspeeds and the current change is when you dropped to a lower headspeed.

What could bind that increases the current draw?
I stayed in idle up for the full flight, no change to pitch or throttle curves.

Are you talking about the change at 1.25 minutes? I would think you're seeing extra amp draw when powering up from the ground to a hover, then once in a stable hover, current drops.

normally as I power up the current never goes above the average during hover. The chart below is the next flight on the same battery with the ESC set to low timing.

Digging up an old post but followup is good
The dip in current current turned out to be a broken motor. The part that mounts to the frame was seperated from the motor ond the only thing holding it together was the magnetic force. It's amazing that it flew like that.
