Is there any way to download the software so I don't have to buy a DVD Rom reader?

If you have other computers in the house that have dvd drives and are connected to the same wifi or wired router you can share the drive and map the drive to your mac then install from the networked drive.

Worth a shot at least. I have done this with dvd install disks for programs between PC'c before into a notebook without a dvd drive.

For now I bought a usb memory stick. I'll copy the cd disc over and see if that works.

If you have another mac in the house with a cd/dvd drive on the same network you just have to go into settings>sharing and turn on dvd drive sharing on that mac, then the drive will show up in the finder of your MacBook Air and you can use it just like it were built in. Alternatively, you could use disk utility for create an image of the cd on another Mac the copy it to use drive. There are also widows programs you can do that with as well. Simply copying the contents from the cd to use drive may or may not work depending on the installer.

Actually, just remembered you have to run windows in boot camp to run the sim, so your best bet is an external drive, or copying to usb. You can also just download the torrent off then Internet and update to the latest version. (And no, this is not stealing if you already own a copy.)

Edit: just realized this thread is kinda old, you probably have it working by now... Lol
