HELP!!! Where to start???
Ok I just started fling black Friday of 2013, I bought my first heli the Blade CX2! I'm not new to R/C I've done ground and water, nitro and electric since I was 10 and now 38.A few weeks later I got the nano CPX and I can hover it some what very touchy little bird. When I got my DX8 they sent me a MSR and I can fly it very well forwards and backwards, side to side. So where should I start with wanting to fly the Nano better and progress to 3D flight. I don't have a sim yet but plan to get one soon. All my flight time has come from the three craft I have. Thanks fellow Freaks any help or pointers?

A sim is worth its weight in a lot of heli parts. And this thread is a great training program once you have hovering tail in down.
https://www.helifreak.com/showthread.php?t=531380 If you go to the nano thread, you'll probably find a lot of info on getting the most out of your bird. Happy flying! |

Nano cpx is a beautiful heli and a very good hovering teacher.
But in terms of learning 3d, nano cpx is a poor platform IMHO. You will need a larger rotor disk and more motor power. Smaller helis just punish poor collective management. Larger helis (like a 130x or 450) are more forgiving while learning 3D. Nano motor just bogs down and heli loses tail authority if you make a small collective mistake, even while simply flipping inverted. |
