Default Hurricane crash story

All right so last night me and my buddy go out to the field and we want to get some flying in--because the wind has been so bad all week, last night was at least bearable. Im criuseing around the skys in my hurricane 425 and doing nice piros and circets figure 8's also flew my little trex 450 in a scale body Md500e slicing through the wind like butter. Now my buddy gets up there with his hurri 550 and he's alittle shacky but I give him incurageing words (he was doing great) then he gets into a right hand turn looking good and then he flips it inverted --Im thinking wow I wish I was to that level....... and he was inverted for a couple sec and thought he was gonna flip her back over then---- wow striaght down plowed it into the ground...my stomach was turning but I couldnt look away!!!! and he's was like oh well no big deal --I think I felt worse than he did--is it me or am I to conservative in my flying? anyhow that's my war story for the week thanks for listening. oh the damage flybar , shaft, grips, carbon blades, frame, gears canope, very ugly crash guys.

OUCH!. um some people ( those with unlimited funds) blow stuff like that off... me on the other hand I have to scrape every penny to get what i have so I try to fly safe. if it was me I would been crying LOL, not really I only cried over one plane. but I do not have funds to fix helis so I try not to crash I do everything possible not to crash.

It's the real struggle for me - I want to make progress, but I hate crashing (even if I have spares) and I can't be bothered to spend the time that I need to on the sim. I should be (and want to be) learning inverted now as I have all of the orientations nailed and can do good loops and reasonable flips - but I just can't be bothered to sit in front of the computer practicing :o:o:o

I hate crashing too, and unfortunately that fear holds me back from progressing in my flying skills. I work the second shift and usually practice on the sim for about 30 minutes every night when I get home from work.
I can fly great on the sim, inverted, fast backwards, rainbows, etc. but I am usually too worried about crashing so I don't try a lot of that stuff when I go to the field to fly.

Parts are not too expensive for the Hurri, and I probably have enough spare parts to open a hobby shop. For me it is just that crappy feeling that I get when I see one of my helis take a dirt nap and watch all those pieces flying off.
Been lucky so far with my Hurris as I have not crashed any of them yet, but I crashed my poor little Blackhawk 450 dozens of times trying new things with it.
