Well, maybe not an SR. 250. Do you really want to deal with the tail motor and the 2 in 1 again?

i never had issues with my tail motors or any thing else on my SR, and i really loved flying that little SR i picked one up today. 250's are a pain and have lots of tail trouble unless you buy a quark or something, a good 250 cost as much as a nice 450, ill probalby build a new helicopter over the winter.

Lunchbox, the pot on my 2in1 is set to zero, since I have a detrum gyro installed. Yeah, the tail motor is a downside, but at least it's easy to fix, and works most of the time.

Ok here is my budget SR lol

So far I have put on B450 skids, Knitting needle boom, #60 o-rings, Xtreme orange blades. Also drilled a small hole in the frame into the boom to put a screw in.

LOL

I got those blades because I didn't want to tear apart any CF ones or wood ones. Plus they are cheaper lol

My "beater" bird. Took her off the DX7 and returned to the stock TX. She sits by the front door ready to fly.

I took the horz fin off to help CG. Mine at least is always tail heavy. I tried a 450 canopy for bigger batts and more useful forward weight but there was too much air disruption. Besides, my wife said it looked bad. I thought like SiFi mean. Maybe a 400 size but I don't have one of those laying around. Note the Titan 720 (was in the bin for the next no-name 450 build): didn't make any difference in the tail so the stock gyro is going back on this weekend.

Mine balances perfectly with the boom wing on. I am running Gens Ace 1300mah batteries and they fit alittle snug in the stock canopy but make it balance out perfectly every time

Switched the SR to XT60s (running these on the 450s) for bigger batteries. Regarding canopy fit, I now run these with the wires up at the head. Lets me connect/disconnect with the canopy on and sit farther down for good balance. They tuck in on the side to stay away from the main gear.

Here is my money pit. As of today she has new xtreme blades and TREX 450 landing gear. I took her out for a quick hover, which is all I can do. My SR seemed like a different machine. I could actually keep it in an area about 3x3 feet. Not sure if it is the new blades, I was using carbon fiber, or the added weight of the new landing gear, or a combination of both. I actually took it to the front yard and back to the rear carport...with 50 + hops...but hey...it's getting better. And yes, my training wheels are zip tied to the landing gear and that is a new ping pong ball from Walmart. Who would have ever thought Walmart carried Blade SR parts.

Looks good!

I am sure it's the blades. When I put the orange blades on it made the head speed higher resulting in better handling

CarCrazy...that's a nice looking rear end you have there
Is the boom and supports all part of the belt kit?
If not, is the post on here about the upgrades?
