Night flying Question
Hey Freaks,
My buddy and I have purchased the night flying blades and light strings from Align. My question is what does everyone use to power the driver for the light strings? We assume that we can pull power from the receiver using an open channel. Is this the approved of powering, or is an additional battery preferred? Thanks in advance, Chris

2 light strings and the driver register 0mah on my data logger. im sure its something but it aint much.probably .01 amps or so. i run mine off the bec from the speed controller. i tap in at the speed controller. you could probably take power at the rx but i think it could potentially cause a glitch. probably be safest to stay away from rx . 5-6 volts make them plenty bright. i have never had an issue in several dozen flights doing it this way

I use a tiny 250ma 2S lipo pack to power my strings. Runs them for more hours than I can fly at night
