I think some people on here have them. The underslung flybar head looks much better than the old head.
I noticed it has direct to swash servos out of the box also. That's cool. The new Esky ESC is different from the old one now. Don't know how good it is though. It would be cool to see a review on one of these from an experienced pilot. I know if I bought on I would ditch the servos and transmitter and use my own. Jonny

I'm sure Jack's got both CPX and CP v2 and so does Suburban, I think, but Jack's still hibernating and Sub's been busy fixing his Raptor
Any comments on how hey compare, guys? A fellow HF needs your opinion!!!

Hi, just a sort flight report from yesterday.
After installing a KDS-800 gyro and a KDS 40A ESC on my CPX, I went out for a longer session to a nice large grasfield nearby. There was only a weak 15-20 km/h wind yesterday evening around 7 PM, so I didn't have any major risk. Beeing still in a steep learning curve with the CPX, I am doing only basic stuff like eights and rounds, some nose-in hovering but I had a lot of fun . This was the first 4 battery session when I didn't have any crash, I am very happy with it ( looks like I cannot even have the smallest mislanding without bending the feathering shaft or main shaft ). I am now getting more confident with the power of the heli, it's an other dimension than my Honeybee FP2 . The new gyro and ESC performed flawlessly . Did some flight also with HH off, and apparently the rate mode is also much better with the KDS gyro. With the stock gyro, the tail was swinging out like hell from the smallest rudder movement, now it never happens ( the tail servo setup didn't change in the meantime ). In HH mode, I just leave the gain on the TX in middle position, it holds very well. There was just one small "incident": after chenging battery, apparently I turned up the pitch knob to almost maximum. When tried to lift up, the heli was shaking like never before, so I I just stopped and noticed this. One more point to check every time before flying ! I did take some minutes break after every battery to check the temperature of the ESC. It was hot but I could still hold it without burning my hand, so I think it will be a keeper also. Looking forward to have enough time for flying again ! cheers, Janos |

I have both CPX and CPv2 and all I can say is.. the stock head breaks EASY I swapped the head for a 450 trex style head.. both fly great speed control on the CPX I think is fine.. not perfect but does the job.. I have logged SEVERAL flights with it.. [ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rureqhAoQAs[/ame] I think its a good lil heli. Trex450 canopy doesnt fit stock mounting posts.. belt cpv2 does fit Trex canopy anything you wanna know????

hey i saw that you answered some questions on this page about the Belt CPX i to have wrecked the head on mine for the second time now. You said you can use align 450 head parts? because i would like to get a aluminum one instead so next time i wreck it hopefully i wont destroy the whole head again.

I can verify that the EXI 450 cnc head will work with the CPX frame. I am running the CPX frame with a EXI 450 cnc head which is a direct clone of the Trex 450 at a fraction of the price. After installing it I was relieved of the shakey startup issue.

Never done it myself, but reportedly it's fairly straightforward. Look up "CopterX head conversion" thread in the sticky section.
