There is nothing to regret or moan about. That was my cheapest and coolest crash ever (literally). And the best thing: my friend shot that awesome pic, which is definitely worth that spare blade grip.
Absolutely, it was an excellent shot. I was just kidding about the crash, though

Did you submit it to a magazine? That is worthy of publishing! lol

Here's my protos all fixed up after her first crash!

473mm edge blades are just as good as the SAB's.

I've just noticed something on the picture: You first took the picture and then disconnected the battery!

But it wasn't a bad crash at all. Thanks to 2 feet of powdery snow, the only thing that broke was a blade grip.

As you can see in this picture I've done some very advanced modifications today.

"W" blades and a "Z" tail boom!

Ouch!
What did you do to bend it like that?

That is very dissapointing! Looks like it went in tail first!
Cool pic above, I always wondered how MSH's FBL swash driver thingy worked.

Here is mine, totally stock.
The build was trouble free although not for the inexperienced as it lacks setup detail and the newer parts aren't in the manual, which was fun but not problem I'm just happy to have the improved parts.
Maiden flight was Saturday very pleased, although I do have a couple of issues to solve.
1) My tail servo Futaba BLS 251 is warm after a flight (6 mins), I know my tail isn't as slick as it should be.
2) Motor (Scorpion) gets warm too, I reduced the belt tension which helped so I need to figure out the perfect belt tension. (running 6S 2600, 13t pinion, Gov is on with 80% flat curve)

Only the single pic today as its my first picture I've posted here.

Steve

Default Second Protos

I sold my first one but really missed it, traded for another one.
Had the 3g from my 6hv so decided to try it on here, man thats alot of wires in this little heli.
Stock motor, Castle Creations ICE HV80 (also from 6hv same size and weight as a ice 75) Hercules BEC, stock motor. I did the flybarless conversion (nobar) on my last Protos and got the aluminum bits to keep the swash timing correct. The flybarless upgrade I got is plastic and looks like something off a Trex, disappointed in the way it looks but it functions well. I also want to thank signal7 for trading me.

sweet.

but did you style your tail boom after your handle, or change your handle to match the letters you had available for your tail boom?

in either case: sweet.
