Bearing replacement in tail pitch slider
Has anyone had the bearings out in the H60195 tail pitch slider? I need to replace one of the bearings (well probably both).
What I really want to know is if I can just press the bearings out or is there a flange in between the bearings? Here is a link to the tail pitch slider: http://www.helidirect.com/align-meta...e-500-600.html Thanks. |

Yes you can replace the bearings on it no problem, the correct part # would be H60106 MR106ZZ
I believe there is a collar inside, it's been a while since I tore one apart. I know for sure on the older 700 style assembly there is a removable collar on the inside, however you should just be able to press the bearings straight through. Use some heat, Good luck! |

The issues you will likely face on replacing the bearings will be related on whether the housing that the ball is mounted on is the aluminum one or the plastic one. The sliders (original) on my two 500 ESPs are both plastic housings, but the spare one is an aluminum based one like in the link.
I wouldn't heat the housing up if it is the plastic one, but the aluminum one would be ok. There is a lip inside the housing on each one to provide a stop for seating the bearings, and there is a collar on the inside as well. IMHO, for the $9 or $10 it would cost to replace the whole slider, I'd just recommend doing that. I remember doing some work on my 600 ESP slider, and it ended up being more of a hassle than the cost justified. As best as I can tell, the bearing size is 6 x 10 x 3 mm. Good luck on which ever way you choose to go.

The OP posted a link to what I believe he currently has. If so, that specific metal one, it is very easy to replace the bearings.
I do agree that if he does have a plastic one, do not heat. Should just be able to press out bearings and replace or buy new assembly. |

There are so many different versions of Align parts, so I was trying to include references to both. I am attaching an exploaded diagram of my sliders from my manual.
