As I said the field will dry quickly after it stops raining. The part of the flight line that will be most wet and might have water standing. It is the section to the extreme right corner where the ditch turns from the west and heads east parallel to the flight line for the event. Have seen over the years a few play in that water with there helis and then have to wade in and get them. <G>
Weather looks GREAT. Can't wait!!

Where is everybody getting water this year for your campers?

Can probably get water at a service station at either Exit 6 or Exit 1. If getting off at Exit 6 with a camper. You have to turn right when getting off exit heading southwest. Then go to the next stop light and turn left. That road will bypass the low under pass that is next to the Sleep Inn. Once you turn left that road runs into Dickey Springs road. There is a couple service stations to the right when getting off Exit 6.

At Exit 1 there is also a couple of service stations that should be able to get water for RV's.

Weather forecast is looking great after Monday. We are suppose to have rain on Monday. Tuesday thru the event weekend is suppose to be sunny and temps in the high 60's low 70's.

Looking forward to seeing everyone. The club set up the field on Saturday for the event. So it is ready for people to start arriving.

Yes B&B Hobbies will be set up at the event and selling fuel. They will have Cool Power 30%. Don't hold me to it, but I believe Bob told me it would be $100 for a case price, maybe less. Bob and Becky are going by Morgan on there way to the event and picking up fuel. So the fuel will be fresh.
As of now B&B Hobbies is the only vendor I have knowledge of that will be at the event. Here is there information if you need them to bring something

Bob is also a helifreak member. He has a post in this thread. It is post #7.

Raining today, but weather forecast is looking fantastic for rest of week. Looks like SPF 40 or higher sunscreen lotion will be needed for the weekend.

Yes there will be pilot only door prize raffle. Each registered pilot will get one ticket for that drawing. There will also be a raffle that the club will be selling tickets. Don't know what we will be raffling yet, but it will be worth the price of the tickets. <G>
Here are some of the sponsors of the event as of today.

Heliproz
Ron's Heliproz South
KDE
Hobbico
Boca Bearing
B&B Hobbies
Castle Creations
HeliWholesalers Inc.
Morgan Fuels.

Those are the ones I have received a donation from for the pilot door prizes. There will be more donations at the event as several of the ones that attend bring there donation with them to the event.

Have talked to several people that are coming over the last couple of days. It is going to be another great event. Sun is shining bright today and is suppose to be that way thru the event. Temps are going to be in 60's today and suppose to be mid 70's to low 80s on Friday/Saturday/Sunday. It rained yesterday, but really didn't rain a lot so the field will be in great shape.

Yep weather is great. It got to 60 today, and temps are just going to get warmer as the week goes on.
Also some over on RR wanted to know about RV parking. Should be no problem with RVs as long as they park in the designated areas. There is orange flags marking the line that RV's can pull up to park. The pit area is in front of the orange flags and there is a rope line marking the flight line area. Pit area is 50 feet wide by several hundred feet long. The flight line runs east-west. RVs need to park north/south direction, one end of RV will be facing road, other end will be towards flight line. This is the way we have parked them for the last several years and it works great. Some prefer to park so there awning rolls out towards there neighbors and they share that area.
It didn't rain much on Monday so the ground is in great shape where the RV's will be setup. Do not drive out beyond the orange flags towards the flight line.
If anyone needs any information, I can be reached at 205-329-8031
The gate to the field should be open from this evening till the event. It may be closed and chain, but it should not be locked. I will be at the field on Thursday.
