Default what does 800 xxtremes usually go for used?

topic says it all, I might want one, but not at NIB price, so what do they usually sell for 2nd hand? need something to accompany my incoming 770.. as my friend allready has a 800 trekker, with 800mm blades, the 813mm on xxtreme would have him beat

also, how often do they get put up? Ive followed the fs for a while, and none in ages. there was 1 for sale, in entire 2012 so far in my country, so not much chance there. he also wanted more than NIB from abroad..

I've seen one go for 2500, bind and fly and one for just under 3000.

They don't last long at those prices and if I hadn't already bought one new, the one for 2500 would be mine. Keep looking, but most will be holding onto them for a while.

Same here seen a couple go for 2500 up to 4000 depending on what's included.

There is no comparing a Xx to a trekker lol, the Xx is a true 800, not a stretched 700 :-) you could buy yourself a logo 600 and have him beat my friend

Just my humble opinion of course.

this is purely a heli-wee-measuring deal err yeah you get the deal kinda thing, its not whatever flies best, because... thats the 770 *hides*

I think my incoming 770 will be quite big, but its missing 30 millis on the blades! how wide is the chord of the 813s vs align 800s?

I gotto say I was VERY VERY VERY VERY sceptical to the 800E trekker, both looks, and "bus" theoretical handeling, but with some 4500s in there, it could actally do quite good 3d, only got in 3 testfligths, we will set up gov on it before this weekend and see how it goes then.

but the xxtreme 800 is hugeeee/tall, which... I like. just the fear factor.

what makes a heli a true 800 really? the align frame, tail, everything is diff from the stretch kits out there before.

I see most people only gov the xxtreme for 1950 max? surely if its so beefy it could take 2000 or 2050?

also.. has anyone crashed the xxtreme? how much usually remains? inertia of 6KGs is a lot.

What makes the Xx a TRUE 800 is the fact it was designed from the ground up (or maybe the head down) to be a 800 class machine. The Xx is designed to handle a 14/16S power system and equipped with a drive train that is up to the task. It has a two stage tail drive that offers dampening to cope with the loads the tail will see during a hard flight.

I believe people are running a 1800 to 1900 HS because its the best balance of performance and flight time, I don't believe it has anything to do with what it can "take". :-) I know Kyle was flying head speeds in 2000+ range but found it to be unnecessary. Maybe Dave will shed more light on that topic.

Now the trekker on the other hand is a streched 700 and uses the same 700 head and drive train. Not saying its not capable of some stick banging or some AP stuff. But it is what it is... And it's not a true 800.

As far as a770 being "better" than the Xx, that would depend on what you wanted out of the model and is a matter of pure opinion. The Xx is in a class of its own as far as quality and design. It's a unique flying experience of smooth power and agility and I have completely enjoyed mine :-) and I'm more of a Logo 600 guy myself. If you wanted to measure a 770 against anything, compare it to the new 700Xx

I wish you the best of luck if buying used. The Xx is a serious piece of hardware and would urge you to completely strip the bird down inspect carefully and rebuild, if you choose to go that rout... Personally I would settle for nothing less than new when it comes to a machine such as this.

Stock XX running 2050 head speed.

It will run even more it's just not worth the electrons (Unless you LIKE 1 minute flights)

The thing wond all kinds of 3d awards last year running ~1800-1900 head speeds so what's the point of running so much more (Other than to say you can)

Trust me the power train can take whatever you can throw at it and just burp and ask for more.

I did a full pitch full RPM roll over crash with it and didn't hurt the blade grips (And only chipped one tooth on the main gear) if I hadn't decided to replace the motor/ESC the crash would have cost me ~700-800ish (And the blades cost $200 by themselves)

I missed this post, thanks, great video!

my 770 will run 2100, and at 2050, or 2000 Im guessing the 800 will be the way I like it, thanks! I dont really mind short flight times, at least this time of year...
