Happy you guys mentioned removing the spindle. The feathering shaft I could tell had lube but the bearings were dry as a bone. They also used a LOT of LocTite (looked like red) on one of the cap screws and none on the other. Greased the bearings and lubed the dampners. Added a little blue loctite and tightened everything back up. Looking good now!

Were the balls on your bellcrank installed on the outside, instead of facing in? Just askin, cause mine were.

I also found out that the motor mount is still set up to except m3 bolts. My nue takes m4. It's an easy fix, just used a rotozip type bit in my dremel to take away some material.

I was about to mention this! Look at the "Quick Start" manual on page 3, steps 6-7. The pictures shows the linkage going from the inside of the servo to the outside of the bellcrank.

Now look in your regular manual and it shows on pg 37 the balls on the servo are on the outside of the servo arm...

So which way should I go? Both show the ball links on the outside of the bellcrank which is how mine came.

One was on the inside and one on the outside (ball that goes to swash). The upper part of the frame seems to be " notched" for the linkage to be closer to the frame which makes me think the balls go on the inside.

After looking at mine I have one on the inside of the bellcrank, the one that connects to the swashplate.

And then the that are vertical on the bellcrank are on the outside. I guess I am wondering do I out the balls on the inside or outside on the servo arm?

That's how mine is now. Bellcrank 2 outside/ 1 inside that goes to Swash. Servo arms go on the inside.

Ahh.. Just set up my Esc. Set the governor to 1800. 12khz and 4 pole motor. 11 tooth pinion. 18.5 volts. Can't wait to test.

I am going to be running a separate Life RX battery. Where would suggest putting it? One the bottom side of the plate that the ESC sits on?

Thats what I was thinking myself. You can run a 2nd valcro strap thru the middle hole to hold the life pack below the Esc plate. I'm also running a long battery wire so I can connect it after the canopy is on.

Hmmm... Bec or life pack??

I think that would be a good spot.

Default Balls on servo arms

I was looking at my servo arms that came with my DX7 and seeing which ones I could use that would match best with the distances in the manual. Looks like the round wheel will give me exactly 21.5mm for the elevator servo. Is it OK to use a wheel instead of the arm style?

Second, for both servos on the sides of the frame it says the the balls need to be spaced 27mm apart. The only way I can get this distance is if one of the balls is in the middle hole on one side of the arm, and the other ball is in the outside hole on the other side. Is this OK or is this going to give different "throws." If I put them both on the outside, I am closer to 29mm. If I put them both in the middle hole, I am closer to 25mm.

I guess I wondering if it has to be exactly 27mm? Sorry, I know I am probably overthinking this.

Nevermind... missed a couple of missing servo arms that work perfectly.

Got my NX up for the first time tody. I can't believe how much more stable and smooth it is than my HK-450! I don't know if it's the extra size, the better components, or the better assembly (wife got me the Ray's Authoritative electric eCCPM starter pack for Xmas), but I couldn't be happier.
