OK, I was waiting to post until I did my first flight without the training gear. Here it is after the first pack, and it's still in one piece. I just said heck with it, and cut the gear off. I was sweating bullets.

Here's mine. I couldn't bring myself to spend too much time on the canopy. Every time I do, I crash immediately afterward.

Personally, I have spent hours on the simulator, and have now gone through about 12-15 packs on the bird.

I did not do anything with the training gear off except for tail in hover practice. As for doing side in, or nose in, I still will want the gear on if I am going to take off or land from that position. I just HAD to try it without the gear on. I am getting close. A couple more hours on the sim and maybe 5 more packs. It is starting to come together.

I'll put it back on for a couple of more packs now and get the side-ins down better. This was a big morale booster today though. I am no where near comfortable doing anything other than tail-in without the gear yet though.

That's priceless!

For a minute, I was debating getting the M-4 out of the safe and making a picture of that, but you win. The frag is just too cool.

Be careful over there, make sure that you and the 600 come home in one piece.

Default First outdoor flight with new T-Rex 600

I got my T-Rex 600 last Wednesday test flight Thursday afternoon. This pic is on Saturday. I didn't like the graphics that came with the kit and I wanted florescent colors for orientation so I spent a half an hour with my airbrush. I am also painting a gold tailboom and blue & red Stabs

This is my first attempt at adding a pic - hope it works.

That is great! Is that little Cuckaburra claiming your bird because he fancies it or to impress the ladies?
