the turnigy 2-in-1 looks identical to the hobbywing 2-in-1.

I've heard that the turnigy k-force series ESC's are re-branded hobbywing platinum ESCs.
If that's the case then I don't see why the turnigy programming box won't work with HW platinum ESCs.

e.g. see the specs of k-force 70A hv
http://www.hobbyking.com/hobbyking/s...idProduct=9130
Ain't it similar to HW 70A?

man..... hobbywing, hobbyking, platinum, pentium, it gets confusing sometimes

Yeah the turnigy programming box will work fine also, that's what I used when I did mine.

I have a 2 in 1 box on the way. Will I need to upgrade this or will it come with the latest version as discussed on this thread?

He means to power it up and check the version it displays. He really was trying to be helpful.

I guess since I posted that it was on the way, and therefore, have no way to.power it up I took it as otherwise. I do apologize if that's not the case. I was simply asking so I could download whatever is necessary so it's ready to be updated once it arrives. Thought maybe someone who purchased one recently would be able to advise.

Alright I'm sure the answer is in this maze somewhere, but I'm now lost. I've got v1.07_110119 showing up when I power up my 2 in 1 hobbywing lcd, however, when I power up my esc it reverts to v1.05_0905? How do I get it to update the esc itself? Steps of how to please?

The version you see when you power up the programmer is the firmware version of the programmer itself. To update the ESC, you need to download the Turnigy 1.62 firmware updater. Then run it, go to the firmware tab, and update the ESC to 1.07.

It's all covered in the first post.

Excellent. Got it. The part of having to use 1.62 versus 1.63 had me baffled. Thanks for quick reply.

It baffles me too as to why HW pulled the 1.07 firmware from 1.63. I've been running 1.07 for several months and have had no issues.
