I have the motor in front and the esc inside the back frame, against the metal mount. SO it keeps really cool. temp is 35C 38C. ironically now the hot point now is the rx at +-42C. all the servos are bellow 30C.

I have heaps of pictures of mine here in my build thread.

Right now it has the SK720 in it and the ESC under the mainframe, motor at the back. I am going to reconfigure it now back to the MicroBeast as I have pulled the SK out for my Mini Protos Stretch I am building.

I plan on putting the motor up front, MB on the side at the back and then see if the ESC goes up front, under the frame or on the side to get the balance right.

knut, where do you have your ESC to get that balanced? Your layout looks like what I am planning for mine.

I have it on the underside between the skids. Although, I'm a little tail heavy. I may bring the BeastX to the front part of the frame or move the motor forward. In the current set up I can still hands free hover for about five seconds.

I think they look better than stock for sure, in my opinion... I was just thinking to myself that white gear would look good!

If you guys can see on my pic above, I made skid reinforcements

Little aluminum tabs that go on top of the cf skid arm, this is where they break

I painted them black, and there hard to see.

But I have had zero skid breaks since then. And I have had alot of ruff landings

Here is mine. All stock, except for the landing skid. When I receive the package, the skid broke into some pieces. So I use 250 skid.

the cool thing about flybars is you can run the insane head speeds
no problem.

Im hoping by christmas we will have a fbl unit that can do that.
the vibes kill the sensors in the units available right now.
