Here's mine. Got about 20 flights on it so far. The first thing I wanted to do was replace the canopy... the original is real pain to get on and it even cracked a couple of times. I slowly ordered upgrade components and when I had them all in place, I tore it down and upgraded it. I love the look and feel now, and the canopy is now a piece of cake to put back on.

Hi 3VW,
Is your main gear dyed or did you get an after market one?

I dyed it, along with the fins and skids. To my knowledge there is no black one available to purchase.

I've posted a DIY How to dye your skids on here if you check my threads. The same process should work for gears if you're interested

There are black CF fins for it: http://www.bladehelis.com/Products/D...rodID=BLH4530C

Mostly anything plastic or nylon can be dyed. Sometimes you get better results when you repeat the process (darker colour)

Post Waiting for Flying Weather...

My twins pre-hibernation. With my 1st 300X that has the orange Canomod canopy, I still need to do repairs from damage it sustained on flight #73...stock Lipo didn't like cold temperatures.

I'm sorry, I shouldh've clarified what I meant was there are NO BLACK MAIN GEARS available to purchase that I know of and thus you'll have to dye your own. One the other hand, black fins are everywhere except in OEM configuration

I found some on ebay that had 5 sets in them for 15.00. I just had to drill holes to line up. It has a better stance and wider and does not affect anything

Ready for a "re-maiden" this weekend. I swear if it rolls right on me, or a servo dies I'm done! (with this one, lol)

Thumbs up Good Re-maiden!

Dr_Boom

Sharp looking 300s! Hope the re-maiden happens with zero drama. It definitely looks like you put a lot of time and money into both of yours, as well.

Due to the continued cold temps with snow flurries and rain I haven't even started to rebuild my 1st 300X. My Heli fleet remains grounded & collecting dust.
