How to customized u Skids
KiloXray asked me like I have got my Skids black on mine 6HV ultimate
Here the answer: The whole one is no magic. You can make it quite simply to home, and the result looks great! You must cook the Skids - no joke! Heat up water in a pot and take the Skids in. Then textile colour comes to the pot: http://www.ebay.de/itm/2-x-150g-Simp.../181052715248? pt=LH_DefaultDomain_77&var = & hash=item2a279530f0 Then whole approx. 5-10Min cook Drip off and ready! Some Pics with the Skids of my old TRex 250 Pro... Its the same action. Textile colour in many colours available Have fun FettBemme |

I wonder if that stuff is the same as RIT dye? I doubt most of the guys in the States can get that specific stuff.

It really gives a serious and mean look to the Heli

I might try it with orange or yellow. All black skids make the heli look cool but I would probably end up painting them anyways.

The name brand RIT powder worked well for me with any sufficiently porous plastic I tried it with. Just add water and heat to below boiling in the microwave using an old glass jar.
I also tried a store brand powder dye that included having to add salt to the mixture. That stuff didnt stick at all for some reason. I dyed a set of blue Quick UK rocket links to a darker shade of blue. It took all of 30 seconds to get the shade I wanted. Over a minute and they would have been almost black. |
