Whether you are using FB or FBL, you can very easily check to see if a pack fits. Cut cardboard or any other rigid material to the dimensions of the pack in question and tape it together to see if it fits under the canopy. If you want to be real fancy you can fill them with sand or weights to see if the CG works out too. But that means evenly distributing the weight inside your "fake" cardboard battery or batteries in the case of the 6hv.

Almost every manufacturer states the weight and dimensions of their packs.

Default Advice needed on next purchase

hi folks, i m really keen on getting 10 packs of this lipo cos its really cheap. any advice why I should not buy this other than the fact that its only 20C. I dun do hard 3d, only loops and forward flights. I got 10 packs of the 3000mah 30c which are heavier but its for the rex600. thanks in advance for advice.

30C is better, especially at that lower capacity. Last I checked, the 2650 30C regular Turnigys were $29, still cheap. I have 7 of the 30C packs, 6 paired up for my 6HV, and they work well.

As per Bum, I am using the same 30c and they work very well. But, I must admit I have just bought 4 of the nano tech's to try out.

I currently have six of the Nano 2650 35c for my Protos but want some good cheap packs for the 6HV which I can use between them, What about the Turnigy 3000 20Cs, Seems like they might be the best if you don't try and squeeze out anything past 430 to 5min... I figure 12 packs total would mean 12 flights on the Protos or 6 Flights on the Compass and any combination in between

As for the Turnigy 2650 20C you linked to they are fantastic, Had ten of them and after I learned how to take care of them, meaning 4 minutes of whatever type flying on my Protos and then land, they last a long long time.

Not sure about this whole series thing though....is there a special way to plug everything in, sometimes I see videos where it seems like folks are plugging in the leads to the Esc one at a time? or the leads are at least separated?

I was going to make or buy something like below, where are details on how to wire in the anti spark wiring one the Hobbywing black lead? Is there a reason for plugging them in one at a time?

This is not really the place to discuss the connections themselves, just the batteries. This thread will show you how I did mine:

If you want to continue the discussion, you can post in that thread or start a new thread.

anyone else flying the 2650 20c pls share yr experience.

it's quite frustrating to wait for hk to replenish stock of the 30c. as for the 3000mah 20c that's selling for abt 33, pardon me for my ignorance but 13 bucks for additional 350mah at the same 20C doesn't quite work it for me. I could be wrong to view this issue, anyone with differing opinion pls correct me. thank you.

I've flown the 2650 20Cs. If you're not running a crazy HS, you'll be more than happy with those batteries. Just get them, if they don't suit you, you can always sell them for a decent return on your investment.

My opinion.

Hmm,

this is in conflict with post #1

have you tried balancing electronics so that you can fit these batteries in your FBL frames? Seems they should fit as per others' findings...

Hopefully you can make 'em go.

i pushed the lipos as far back as they go right up against the frame and im a half inch away from the canopy mounts dont want to push on the canopy anymore afraid it might crack it

BUT.. maybe its not fitting cause my kits not together yet just got it today and strapped the lipos to the frame and tried to put canopy on but it was a no go

This may be a silly question, but did you try the packs in both orientations. They may not have a perfectly square cross-section.

ok my choice of packs are the ones listed below.. my first choice is the 3300mah pack but what im concerned about is the C rating of only 25c .....out of these lipos what what you get? disregard the Mah i know ill get shorter flights times with the 2650..... just want to get the packs with the most kick but not sure if C rating matters much with 12s in series

Turnigy nano-tech 2650 6S 35~70C Lipo Pack
Turnigy nano-tech 3300mah 6S 25~50C Lipo Pack

3300mAh 25C is plenty for this heli. If you were planning to share packs with a 500, you'd probably want to go to a higher C rating.
