Don't know about the sk540 but your cyclic's should be at 17mm.
I ordered a spindle wrench today. Hopefully that will help.

As for the 17mm hole distance, am I going to have to order some new servo horns? (seems that way) I was hoping to use the horns that came with the ProTek 250's.

What are you guys that are using these ProTek servos doing for horns? I'll be kinda bummed if I cant use the ones that came with them.

Talked to Mike from Prostar. Turns out the ProTek horns will not work and I need to use the Compass 06-0707FU arms. I was happy to get a solid answer, with my shipping times, having to play trial and error would really suck. Thanks Mike.

I ordered up a set. Two more weeks of waiting here I come! DOH!

I was also disappointed that I could not use the cool arms supplied with my protek 230's. The compass arms work great though.

Agreed. I replaced my aluminum arms on the 500 with plastic.

I finished the kit tonight. I am waiting on servo horns. Now it is on to wiring.

Question time.

How tight should I crank down the servos? Ive got the rubber grommets and brass inserts on the bolts, but I'm not sure how much I should crank them down. Is it "just tight" or like "squish out the grommets tight" ?

What if your mom goes and buys a Blade Scout and ships it with the batteries. It's for like uh really long flight times and stuff...

I'm glad to see your build is going well. I've been meaning to check in and see how it's going in Germany.

I may have found a solution to the Revoletrix battery problem. I am fairly certain I will be able to get them here. In the mean time, I got a set of Pulse 3300, 45C packs in to at least be able to set up and fly one flight at a time.

Germany is going pretty well, other than the lack of internet at home. Thanks for asking!

Interesting. What are the advantages and disadvantages of using them?

So does that mean you guys are just using the supplied M2.5 x12 bolts and washers? What is taking up the extra space around the bolts?

Yep, no need for rubbers on electric. Doesn't hurt but not needed.
If you do ever use the rubber do not use the brass collets or your servo's will flop around all over, not good with an FBL machine.

I got my spindle wrench in today, gonna give pulling this spindle a go tonight.

I also got the compass servo horns in.

I am am still at a standstill because of my internet though. My crappy cell service is too slow to download the Skookum software, so doing an actual setup can't happen just yet.

My actual house internet is supposed to be installed on monday! Woot, after seven weeks of waiting for it! So I should have build pics up soon and can finish my setup!

Default Very nice indeed

Hi KX, what a great heli. Did you get your lipo's shipped?? There has to be an RC shop in your area that would be willing to accept the lipos for you. That might cost you a few beers and possibly the old Mehrwertsteuer but.. that could work..

Uh-Oh, grips reversed. You have set trailing edge control.
Nice clean work area and build so far.
