Default Pjacq Mild

I have one question before I start installing my kit. On the circuit board the little wire next to the two motor leads. Looks like an antenna , Were does this wire go? I just do not see it in the diagrams ...

That is the signal wire and it attaches to the lower left leg of the main motor FET. This is a little sloppy but should give you some idea of what goes where.

I have seen on other posts people have soldered the main wire to the other side of the board. Is there any advantage/disadvantage on the other side besides the wire being longer and a bit easier to solder?

On a nano board? You can pick up the signal on the back of a nano but soldering it on the front for the main motor signal is about as easy as it gets. Now you have to pick up the signal on the back of a mCPX board.

If you look on the first page of the sticker and the last photo in the group he show his main being soldered on the other side of the board.

I haven't seen any of his instructions so I believe what you are saying. I'm just saying there is no need to go to the back of the board unless you are going to hook up a BL tail.

Oh ok that must be the reason some are going to the other side of the board. We did one a few weeks ago and just used the location at the fet. Simple enough, just curious about it. Thanks

Is it necessary to get a brushless tail motor and to extend the boom when using one of these kits? Or can I get away with the stock tail setup?

Mild kits work well with the stock tail boom length and motor along with Lynx 42mm props. Most people run into difficulties when they have a vibration or setup problem.
