The KBDD 112's are okay, but I've never cared for them, personally. Mine are pretty noisy. I think they are took flexy, IMO.

I've used most other brands on my 7HV, and none have impressed me as much as Century RT 115's. Very high quality. Fine balance, and very quiet in operation. Aside from those, I've found the Compass 115's to be quite good.

I have run the KBDD 112mm EE's on my 7HV, since right before they were made available to the public (I did some of the testing on them, using the 7HV and an older Trex 700E as test vehicles).

I have since installed them on my Goblin 700 and Rush 750 (also my Raptor 90 and Odin II).

I agree that they are noisier than CF tail blades, but they work extremely well and are much more durable than CF.

I won't run anything else.

I've been using CF up to this point and I'm going to try switching over to the KBDDs. The Compass and Rail CF blades are pretty flimsy in my experience; it doesn't take much of a ground scrape to delaminate them.

I ran the 112s for awhile but am much happier with the 104s. At 2150 the 112s seemed to have too much bite driving my tail gain down to an uncomfortable level. The 104s hold just fine for me and don't put the extra stress on my tail hardware or servo.

As far as CF tail blades are concerned you you'll never catch me running a set. One touch of the runway, catch a pebble, anything really, and your $30 set of CF blades are toast and unless you have another set you're grounded.

I've been running the same set of KBDDs since last spring and the corners are literly rounded over. They still fly fine.

Funny you mention the 104's. I had the same experience. They were fine for me when I first built the heli and flying a higher headspeeds. It wasn't until I started to fly a lower headspeeds that I switched up and didn't care for anything smaller. I think they are great at 2000+.

My high head speed is 2000 rpm and low about 1600 rpm. So I think 112's should be fine. I have the stock tail blade right now which is 115's. I replaced stock Main blade with cyclone 695mm.

I've been flying with the same setup (at least blades and high head speed), so we can compare notes when I get my first flights with the KBDD 112s.

My 7HV runs at 2050 RPM, tached.

I ran the 104's for a while, then tested the 112's. I liked both, but the 112's felt more solid (to me).

Different people have different requirements in terms of feel/power/etc.

+1 to Cyclones as well. Best blades I've tried so far.

The Cyclones are the only blades I've tried thus far and I really like them. A buddy of mine with a similar flying style had settled on them for his 700 sized helis, so I took that as a recommendation. I see no reason to change at this point. My 7HV kit is the version with only airframe and motor for that reason.

Thought I'd chime in here about the tails. I've just switched back to carbons (Arrrrrriiiiiggggn 800s 115mm - couldn't find any others in stock) from the 112mm EEs and they are a lot better.

Not only is tail quieter but reversals are damn near instant now. With the EEs you could see the tail stopping then speeding up when reversing in the piro flips. It was only for a micro second but enough that you'd have to correct for it. With the carbons it's instant and you can keep the timing of the flip the same regardless of direction.

In summary they don't seem to work the tail as hard. I'm sure you could tune it out with the FBL but it's just going to load up the tail drive more.

I'll let you know how durable these ones are over the stock ones.
