New longer vertical fin for T-REX 500 NSP (Carbon Fiber and Neon Red colors)

This vertical fin is designed 20mm longer than stock fin to keep the tail of the T-REX 500 off the ground to protect the tail better. It is known to help reduce front torque tube strip

Tall tail is nice if you land on dirt or asphalt. However, it's "useless" on grass and soft soil. The tail will "cut" into the ground like an Xacto blade if you land hard. Also, the material is less rigid and very floppy fiberglass instead of stock CF. If your heli is like most heli there is a bit of vibration, and you will see that vertical stabilizer wobble anywhere from 1/2" to almost 2". Better solution is this. Get a tail servo mounting ring(trex500 or trex600 size) and mount that on the bottom of your vertical stabilizer. Drill a small hole. Now you got at least 1" bumper on the tail.

I like your suggestion, but how do you prevent the ring from spinning once it impacts the ground?
