Default So I bought an Innova 700

Myrcmart is selling these for $220 for a bare bones kit and the temptation was too great.

Anyone have advice for building one of these?

Really nice choppa. . I had the Innova 550. . enjoyed it for nearly a year before I sold it off. . Only advice I have is keep an eye on your motor pinion to avoid a lipo rub. ( cut your motor shaft if need be ) . But knowing you. . Aint no way in hell this will get past you. . Really nice heli . . .Enjoy.

Awesome price.

Edit: One last thing . . . . These KDS Main gears are known to strip if you don't get a " PERFECT" main gear pinion mesh. . You want just the tiny'est bit of gap. . I had a main last me like 8 months. . if you don't find that sweet spot. . One can find themselves changing out gears often. .

Does Mikado make a gear that will match up with innovas ?? . . .If so it's worth looking into.

The 600/700 frame has a support bearing block on the other side of the pinion so that's a lot less likely to happen.

Century Swift gears should match up too as those are also interchangeable with Mikado. The Swift gear is 96T vs 115T for the KDS gear so it could give you more gear ratio options.
