Three more flights on Warp #2 late this afternoon (59).

Got too dark to go for a fourth.

Around 30 flights this year, this heli is so stable/reliable it gets boring (not)
Doesn't stop to surprise me, how it can work so well on low RPM, excelent performance on piroflip practice for long practice flights.
It flies longer (and better) then my Sport 360 (same gyro/servos/ESC), being the Sport 100g lighter.
And the Stock motor blends nice power with efficiency like no other.

Thanks Compass for this flying gem

Topped the agility levels on the Vbar, it's at max agility and 45 Vivid.
Brought a bit more fun without upping HS, stock 16T setup.

Also found the perfect shouldered bolts for the tail grips: H45185
The shoulder section aligns perfectly WITHOUT chinese weights, I'm flying like this for now. Found some slightly bend bolt when changing blades, shouldered are more beefy and less wear on the grips/blade.

Also put some nice fresh and Holo-wed KBDD 61 tail blades in the grips (also new).
These blades has been offered by a big Compass fellow from USA, Thank you It's spinning as smooth as a heli can be, AWESOME. Reduced a bit the Gains on tail to remove the wag on hard tail transitions, was using smaller blades.

Default Tough bird

Crashed my Warp on flight 129. blades, skids and canopy crack. I was worried about this helis reputation of being a servo killer, but they all checked out okay. I see why people complain about servo access

This thing built like a tank. Back in the air again. Took the time to play with the FBL settings a bit and its flying better then ever

I put 12 cells through my Warp a couple of weeks ago, totally frying the ESC, Gryphon Polaris, and all 4 servos. The motor was disconnected as I was going to do some setup.

Amazingly, the FBL was also unaffected. I won't be buying new electronics for it I'm afraid.

I have my batteries for my 700 size helis on trays. 2x for the 7HV, 2x for the E700. All have blue Turnigy packs on them.

Now, my 7HV ones are just 2x 6S 5000s on a tray and I have 2x EC5s on the ESC of the 7HV.

My E700 ones however, are on the tray, but jumpered in series to one EC5 on the tray itself. It's just neater that way for the way I have the ESC mounted on that heli.

So when I wanted a battery to set up the Warp, they're the easiest batteries to get to and I picked up the E700 one instead of the 7HV one. I never even thought it could be wrong, and I just touched the EC5 to the one on the ESC, when there was a spark and the magic smoke. I immediately realised my mistake.

Maybe I'll order some red EC5s from Biwix and put them on the 12S ends.

landed my warp this weekend with only one skid.

i've lost one skid when i was making a flip ..

yeah so .. allright let's land this little beast :-)

And i did it without damage. Balancing on one skid untill the last few rpm's and at the end the machine fell on his side smoothly. Lucky me haha

4 packs yesterday and 8 packs today. Spring flying weather is finally here!

Did my first pyro flips and funnels, and getting my backwards flying down pretty good. Swapped the Mini Vbar to an Ikon and it's like a different machine. I just love how it flies now. I don't have anything against Vbar, I know they are good units, but I couldn't get my Warps tail dialed in to save my life. Threw the Ikon on there and it's perfect right out of the box. In the defense of the Vbar I was using some cheap-o servos that I suspected might have been causing issues with centering and speed differences. Ditched those and put in a set of the new BK micros on cyclic, and the BK 7005HV tail servo with mini size top case. Kind of ridiculous considering the specs on that thing could have it running in a 700, but I had it laying around so why not!?

With these last flights I feel like I finally broke through a barrier I was fighting. Hoping to make some big steps forward this season. Have to work on my inverted flight and I'll be in pretty good shape.

Cool!

New servos were certainly guilty for the lack of performance. My Warp was setup with DS 95/95i from day one, and every gyro i put in there, Beastx, 3GX 4.0, Robird and Vbar had nice performance and no issues at all to lock the tail. Only the #GX still had some very slight quirks to shave, didn't give it the time...lol

Happy Flying!

Programmed Warp #2 into the 28X and test hovered it.

Warp #1 will require and FBL unit upgrade, as the AR7200BX (which works very well) will not work with DMSS.
