Default Swash tilt

I removed and reinstalled the sk-720 to replace the main shaft. Did the mechanical setup again, but when I switch to SL on the bench, the swash plate tilts severely to the right. Do I need to re-level the accelerometer?

Two of my units do the same. I have SL enabled on a TX switch as a "bail out" mode. After changing a motor, I noticed the swash tilting severely to the right upon initialization. I was about to write Georgie a huge PM when I realized my TX bailout switch was engaged. I flipped it off and re-initialized and the swash was perfectly level as it should be.

I haven't used SL in a long time. Next time I fly I'll try flip the TX bailout switch and see if the heli rolls right. The strange thing is my Trex 500 and 700 both exhibit this behavior (700 is worse), but my 600 Pro and TDR do not. None of the helis have been crashed.

Thanks, georgie- yes, there was a minor crash. No damage anywhere but one broken ball link and bent main shaft. The unit was not impacted at all and seems to be functioning ok except this tilt on switching to SL.

I would go carefully but the question is where am I going? What to check and how to make sure the unit is not damaged?

=] check the gyro motion sensors in the live data fields, these need to read zero. set logging to playback and fly / hop in non-SL mode, get the log up on here to see the state of the accelerometers?

Did a test flight with playback logging.

Everything went well and SL performed alright. Still on the bench 200% SL takes the swash off level, gradually and always to the right. Worthy of note is the fact that you see the same action even if you switch to Always On 200% from CS+Inverted 20% as a test. I don’t recall seeing this behavior before. In any case, in actual flight with real feedback, it’s all good.

The playback log was quite uneventful. In fact so much so! The heli on the screen takes off to a disproportionate height and just hovers there. All you see is the bottom side of a heli that essentially stationary with occasional yaw. I did move around quit a bit but I guess the altitude on the screen has to be calibrated to allow the trees and landscape in and to visualize forward flight?!? And then a funny flip inches away from ground just before landing. Also the vibration numbers on the screen were extremely low (better than ever) around 0.2~0.7 and RPM: N/A.

Was under the impression that vibration log was all you could see without the Pro version of Data Viewer. Maybe what I experienced was an incomplete demo.

You can view both vibration logs and playback logs (aka "flight logs") with the free viewer. The Pro viewer lets you see more detailed information.
