Default TIC TOC tail wobble

ok all you 3D guys. I’ve got a trex 500 which flys and hovers does loops and rolls just prefect.
But when I go into a tail down back and forward TIC TOC I notice that tail wag from left to right and makes the move feel iritic

The servo is a standard DS520 there is no bind and the tail blades are radix

DX6I settings throttle 90.90. 80.90.90
gyro GP780 set at 70

no comments that the GP780 gyro is rubbish cos it holds in all my standard moves lazy eights hurricanes and loops and flips and inverted. it’s just this particular move I seem to notice it

Any ideas would be appreciated before i start playing with setup and settings

Cheers

Tick tocs are pretty heavy on the tail. Try adjusting your throttle curve to a flat 90 and see if it improves. I am using a flat 100 and my tail improved dramatically.

I had a similar issue, and it got a whole lot better by changing DS520 to DS650.

I'm sure I do those tic tocs pretty badly though.

+1 one on using a full size servo (DS650) and using a pair of CF tail blades

could be too much gain, or a conflict in high freq. between the governor gain and tail gyro gain, they do affect each other, but you can find the right combination. i dont think you need to buy new gear to fix it. atleast not until you've really tried everything to minimize it. also make sure your pitch slider moves effortlessly on the shaft, and that your tail rotor hubs mechanical links are moving very freely as well as no loose bolts. also check the little mount off the tail casing for your pitchslider arm to make sure it is not at all loose.
Funny about that wag during tic tocs, because eventually you reach a point where you want to be able to make the tail shake like that during tic tocs lol know what i mean?
