Default Power supply output voltage

Just got a new PS to replace my Mean Well 450 which just stopped working.

It's a Chergery S600 with variable voltage which can be adjusted from 10 - 18 volts.

The Icharger can take input of up to 32 volts.

My question is this:

What charging voltage should I set the PS at?
Is it any harder on the PS to run it at 18 volts as opposed to say 15 volts?

Suppose I want to charge three 5000 mah 6s packs in parallel. Does it matter if I run the PS at 15 vs, 18 volts?

Only slightly confused

Ken

Default Re: Power supply output voltage

Set it as high as you can, within the limits of the charger. 18V for everything, in your case.

The higher voltage is actually easier on the charger, it reduces the amps flowing into the charger, which should help it run cooler.
