Default Ferrite ring removal - yay or nay

I recently got a Powerjive 120 for my Compass 7hv. I am placing my ESC up front, but soon realize that the wires will be too short. I have read on here from both sides concerning 2.4 ghz radios and the ferret ring and and to be honest am unsure whether or not to remove this ring. Is there now a recommended consensus regarding the removal of the ferret ring on Kontronik ESC's? Doing so would definatly help me with the ESC placement.
