Default Mild brushless bogging like crazy

I got the mild brushless kit for the nano and put it all in today and tried it out and it is bogging like crazy, even sometimes where it doesn't have enough power to hover I've tried everything from 65 up to 80% flat throttle curves but to no avail I've also tried a few different batteries that I know are all good but still no good I was wondering if the esc has a governor mode or if it came with a governor mode can it some how come out if it by accident so any suggestions are greatly appreciated and the motor is not rubbing on anything and the gear mesh is good I've already sent an email to Dylan about the problem and we are trying to work through it (awesome customer support Dylan!) so any suggestions guys?

Post your TX settings, battery temp before flight, check for frayed wires on the battery plug, and check the motor wire solder joints to the esc. Can you post a good pic of your install?

Default Mild brushless bogging like crazy

Using the stock batteries and the turnigy not nanotech 30c batteries my rx settings are 70% flat throttle curve for idle up with the stock 100% pitch on all I'm not sure of the temp if the batteries but the air temperature was 55-60 Fahrenheit and here's some pics sorry for the bad lighting Click image for larger version

Having the same issue. Just gave my nano to poor_red_neck and am letting him baby her for awhile until she is flying right. First thing id check is if your mesh is right. The tolerances between perfect and awful are within 2 thou. second, make sure you have no bet shafts or cracked shafts, then make sure your blades are balanced. Lastly, make sure you are giving the gov. time to arm and are arming it correctly. Whats your startup procedure?

Set your pitch travel adjust to 80%, throttle to 75%flat, warm the batteries to 90°and see if that makes a difference.

Is 75% the preferred setting for the Mild kit? I'm running 85% and it's rocking. I do get some bog toward the 3:30 mark, though but that's mostly my awesomely poor collective management skills during flips.

If that doesnt work, cut off the stock connector, run heavier wires direct to the esc, then splice just the end of the stock connector onto them:
https://www.helifreak.com/showpost.p...6&postcount=33

If you have a spare nano connector, you can just use that with the heavier wires to the esc and let the stock connector still attached to the 3 in 1 (unused) for a quick test.

I just got my kit and it did the same thing...

At first i used the stock battery plug and bogging was insane . After wiring the battery to the esc it helped alot. I'm not sure I've completely solved the problem, flight times are better 2:30 - 3:00 mins on my best 160mah lipos, but thats only a few, new batteries and more testing is needed..

but +1 on Asteroid support, great seller.

I found when its cold outside (47 degrees this morning) I'm not getting as good a flight time or performance on mine. I did find that one stock lipo I have out of the 4 made it all the way to my 3.5 minute timer and thats freshly charged before I took it outside. I have them all numbered with a black sharpy and #3 is the better lipo. The 2 - 160 Mah Turigy Nano Techs I have, I quit using, they give 2 - 2.5 minutes and less when its cold, they just ain't worth loading in the Nano.

I'm thinking 16500 motor and 240 mah lipos might be the better setup or maybe better lipos for the mild.

If all my lipos were like my #3 lipo I could live with that. I wonder how the 35C eflite lipos are doing?

I may also try direct soldering the battery wires to my ESC as well.

Mine work fine in the cold, as long as I wrap them in a heating pad before. They have punch all the way through.

Here's the pad I have:

The 35c eflites are great compared to the 25c! I'm heading back to the lhs today to get some more of the 35c.

Yours will probably fly great once you get a good lipo in it.
Try out the new 35c's

Where is a good place to order the 35C lipos from? I've noticed not everyone online seems to carry them.

Thrilled with the new 35C batts! Just spent the afternoon flying. I put around 5-6 cycles through each and I was getting 4 mins. hovering with no problem.

well, it turns out it was my batteries I cycled each one about 4 times and they seemed to get some spunk back and the I warmed them before flight and that really upped the performance, thanks for all the responses guys
