That's a balance between Helicopter and a Spartan Vortex

Thanks Bob, & Jack

To say the least, I am extremely surprised with the unit. The DataPod provides extremely quick and simple access to all tuning aspects, and set up processes. For being virtually out of the box settings for "Heli Size (700+)(DFC)" and "Style (3D)" (I only changed one advanced parameter to prevent pitching up in FFF, others were just expos), it felt extremely comfortable and "original". Very, Flybar like, with the benefits of being Flybarless as well. I'm going to try swtiching my other Mostros to it as well.

Yes, Spartan gov. Plug and play, no fiddling with any gov values!

Jason,
Which spartan are you using? I'm thinking of buying the VX1E for my 600N. Have you flown them all and what do you think of them?

This was a VX1n. Only my first unit I have flown actually. I will be trying the VX1e later.

Cool, I'm very interested to hear how it works, especially the nitro governor. I assume it will be similar to the VX1n but I'm not sure, it's a lot cheaper so there must be some significant differences. I'm deciding between it and an Ikon at this point.

What engine did you recommend to me Jason for most power and least tuning needed? YS91SRX was it??

I can't recall.

Jason, im interested to know what values you settled on with the tail set up in the vortex, gain, accel, decel and stop gains?
Were your stops quite violent before you got it dialed in only im struggling to get the tail performing well on the stops mainly?

Both systems use the same firmware. The primary difference between them is the type of gyro sensors. Also the VX1e has a built in USB port. If you have any more questions about it please ask here at VX1e thread here https://www.helifreak.com/showthread.php?t=642654 as I don't want to steer Avant's thread of course.

Cheers,
Angelos

At first look the nitro appears to be all things I had hoped it would be. I am very excited to see it flying finally. I am still looking for a mostro 600 nitro so keep pumping them out.
