Mini protos not supported by amain???

I just saw that Amin doesn't sell the mini kits anymore and a bunch of the parts are out of stock. Have they stopped supporting the mini protos?

Plenty of parts at msh-direct. Haven't looked elsewhere, but this can be a low stock time of year most places as people start flying again.

Not sure about amain though. They are usually responsive to customers and I'm sure you could ask.

I just bought some hard-to-find stock parts at HeliDirect.com last week.

two weeks ago msh were out of a bunch of parts. I just got a heed protos and it was a battle to get some grips and a main gear. got a email from helidirect they were in stock of the grips gone in hour.

Good point. I hadn't considered that heli buying could be seasonal.

Wow amain got back to me right away.

They said that they no longer sell the mini protos kits because of a lack of demand.

They said that they have no intention of discontinuing parts support but that it's been difficult for them to get for their supplier the "looks of things". I've interpreted that they haven't been able to get parts consistently for their supplier.

Are there any spares that are particularly hard to get ahold of?

I haven't had any problems. I do have to check a few different sites to find one that has all the parts I may need after a particular crash for a single order.

I've used: amain, helidirect, and msh-direct (my current favorite if I'm only getting mini parts).

However, experiencerc and helihobby are two other suppliers I know of. I'm sure there are a few others I'm not thinking of at the moment.

Oh good. I love this helicopter. It flies so stable and precise that I really feel like it will allow me to hold off on buying a larger heli for a while. A guy at the field let me fly his logo 600sx at the field the other day and I must say that my mini protos flew kind of like it. Don't get me wrong the logo flew amazing but I really didn't feel like there were tricks that the logo could do that my mini couldn't.

As well as the seasonal nature of parts supply, the Protos Max has taken a lot of MSH's attention recently which may have led to parts supply challenges

The heli team really was pulling for the mini Protos but it can't be helped. at least part support will continue.

Yeah it makes total sense. Amain has a business to run so I don't fault them at all. I'm glad to hear the heli team likes the mini as much as we do. Awesome heli!
