Default Raptor 90se flybar

Hi all

I am looking at adding some flybar weights to tame my cyclic down bit, as my style of flying is smooth and not 3d or anything, but dont want too heavy weights,

Any recommendations ??

Regards

Have you tried the heavier black paddles? That and some expo should be enough.

I'd agree...the TT paddles are fairly heavy and can tame it down a bit. Maybe lower the percentage of throw for the collective.

If you decide to do the weights, you can use wheel collars.

CY stubs come with flybar weights, somebody might have a set laying arround they might be willing to part with. I just put them on ny R90 gasser to see how they will make the cyclic feel for some precision practice. Will let you know how they feel if I ever get to fly it. :-) Winter.......bah humbug!

Wow, Im flying the red paddles and find them very lazy . They are supposes to be more nimble then the black ones but I cant tell much of a difference. I wish I could find more response , because my rolls are sloooooow . I can fly very smooth big circuts with the reds.

If you want more response, switch your mixing arms to the inner hole, and get some KBDD 90 size paddles. 10 bucks and they woke up this sleepy R-60.

I think the stock black dampeners are the softest. red are the stiffest, and the blue ones are in the middle.

Fly the REDS as anything else is sloppy ! Lube the thrust bearings really good and you will like the difference. I dont worry about boom strikes as much with the REDS.

Sorry, I meant the inner hole on the flybar seesaw.

Default Raptor 60 help

I am a noob to nitro and Raptors. I have a rappy 60 I am trying to set-up. Question is this a 90 deg 120 180 swash? and if anyone would like to share there pitch throttle curves for norm and stunt1? I am using a dx7 for aircraft and heli and a 7100r RX. This info and any other info you pros might want to share with me would be greatly appriciated. Thank You for your time all.

Dave,

The swash is a 90 degree. On my 7C it's a H-1 swash, not sure how DX7 classifies it. My throttle curves are: Normal: 17.5, 40, 50, 75, 95. Idle 1: 100, 73, 60, 73, 100. I have the OS-70, no governor and 15% Nitro.

On the setup for the dx7 you'll need to get into the model setup menu...where you do the model select then scroll up or down...go to the swash type and select "1 servo"

If you want some more settings...

Aileron and elevator set with DR of 75% norm, 85% idle up and Expo of 25%; Travel adjust is 100%

Pitch curve is: expo on
Norm 0, inh, 50%, inh, 85%
Idle 1 0, inh, 50%, inh, 90%
Idle 2 0, inh, 50%, inh, 100%

Throttle: expo on; I don't run a gov so my throttle is a little high.
Norm: 12%, 43%, 65%, 76.5%, 80%
Idle 1: 85%, Inh, 75%, inh, 85%
Idle 2: 90%, Inh, 85%, Inh 90%
