You might have better luck with these:

http://www.readyheli.com/Custom_Heli..._p/chp-061.htm

They're for the 9650 servo, which I'd guess to have closer spacing on the holes than the ones for the full size servos.

I definitely will but it'll take some time because I had to quiet flying helis for family reasons and I'm selling all my equipment off right now. But after everything got better hopefully I'll be flyin' high again...

Thanks for understanding.

I have a pack of these for some reason:

http://www.readyheli.com/Custom_Heli..._p/chp-050.htm

and their holes center up pretty well in the HS-5245MG holes, although not quite perfect. The real test would be on the frame, which I, sadly, don't have yet . Their full-size plates are pretty wide and don't line up with the holes well, so I'd guess the same for the H60074 Align ones.

Both types of the CHP plates that I have are made from 2mm CF. How thick are the ones that come with the 500?

Default Solid G

Bob. What have you heard about the Curtis YoungBlood Solid G gyro? I am thinking about getting a Trex 500 and putting a Solid G in it.

I contacted them and they are getting the vids fixed. They didn't know there was a problem. S/B up soon.

Default Plastic spacer for the S5245

If you use the rubber grommet and brass spacers that come with the S5245 servo, do you still need to use the plastic spacer shown in the instructions. In the drawing it does not look like they are using the grommets?

Just watched them! Nice videos..... I am not sure i can do much better but I do need to find out about what servo type settings to use for servos not listed like 3400G or 9257. I assume standard is for non-digital servos? I got a call into them about this.

Daniel Jetschin says the G gyro holds as good as the vstabi unit does on the tail. I would tend to think he knows. I'm looking forward to your notes on this gyro as I'm trying to decide between it or the Spartin 760. I've finally got to the place were my 401 just isn't enough. I'm kind of sad about that in a way when I know I shouldn't be.

Jeremy.... after flying the 760 I can tell you for sure it BLOWS away the 401. I don't know that I will be good enough a pilot to be able to tell the difference between that and a Zero-G.

The bottom line for me is the new gyros coming out are latest sensor and software technology and take the king of the hill off the thrown. The 401 is like what? 5 years old now? Futaba did it right for a long time but the new stuff coming out in my opinion competes directly with the venerable 611 gyro.

I would say don't wait for my report. Buy one as I am 100% sure you will be happy with either! I know one thing Curtis would not sell it if it didn't work well!!!!

So I doubt my flying skillz would come close to helping you decide... Remember I am here to help people learn to set up the thing NOT be a Curtis or a JK and tell you which I like better.

In the end... I think the day has come in gyro's that what we all (us heli flyers) have found to be the best is changing! What I mean is you don't have to buy a 611 to get top performance.
