Default ZYX Reset Tip

Thought I would share an issue I had with my ZYX during setup and the resolution I finally found.

Went through the initial setup sucessfully using the John_nz software. The next day however while double checking prior to maidening I found the elevator and aileron servos were only moving a fraction of what they should. Tail and throttle movement remained normal. Everything moved the proper direction, only a small amount. Changing values in the software did nothing, resetting default values in the software did nothing.

The final solution was to do a factory default reset using the sticks and lights. Servo travel returned to normal. Apparently going directly through the gyro cleared whatever was corrupted in the settings. Reloading my saved settings put everything back the way it was and the maiden went perfectly! Hope this helps prevent the hair loss and frustration I went through for a few hours!!

I can't even get in the setup using my sticks.
The only thing i get is a flashing yellow light.
I also had to increase my endpoints otherwise the zyx won't see my stickinput.
I use a futaba transmitter

I am using a Dx7s transmitter. I know it took me a few tries at first to get the timing down to get in setup mode, I found some videos on Youtube that helped get the timing down. This one is pretty good, he goes through the setup entry procedure about 9 minutes in.

I read this after messing with my heli that I could not get the pitch to change. I finally came here and read this post. Very good advice, but for some reason I don't think I actually did a reset. When I turned on the Tx, connected the battery and then put the aileron stick to full left, all 3 lights stayed on the gyro, but then the esc starting going crazy making sounds I've never heard it make, Maybe I accidently accessed the esc instead. But when I went to check my heli again after trying a few times, the pitch was accessible again... weird. Now it seems to be working. I hope that when I decide that it's ready for a maiden flight, that things don't go bad...
