What air cleaner are you using. The stock Zenoah air cleaner has a choke lever on it that closes ff the throat of the crab for priming/choking. If you do not have a stock air cleaner you can choke by placing a finger over the throat or wrapping something around the air cleaner intake area to prevent air from entering.
I found a plug gap of 0.024 worked well on my Predator with the G231. The crab settings were L: 1 1/16 and the H: 1 1/8. Doing a full pitch climb for about 3 seconds and listen for distress bogging, if so open the top needle a bit and try again. If it ius OK. Then hover and listen to the motor, if it burbles, then you can turn in the L needle a hair and hover again. What you are looking for is a good transition to full throttle. with a slight burble occasionally in the hover. As for locktite on carb screws. I have never used them. As the motor runs at a temp that will soften any standard locktite, I could never see a use for it in this location.
