Default TZ 50V2 e-conversion

Hello to everyone it is time to share my project as i ve been flying my eFrenzy for a while, my set up is a 880kv motor, 100A ESC, 3 hitec servos, logitech 6100 gyro, 6s 4000mah lipo, 3s 3000mah for my electronics, Sab blades, i am very pleased for my set up, the flying time is about 5 to 6 minutes with regular manuevers. I use the same ratio as the nitro. the motor plate is custom made.

Default How do you convert to electric?

I'm totally unfamiliar with Nitro heli's, never having owned one.

What does it take to convert the Frenzy 50 to electric? Would converting the Frenzy 90 be similar?

Thanks

Hello,
Glad to see another recent conversion. I am in the process of doing one of these and need some help. I am trying to figure out how to or what pinion to mount on the motor. Looks like I am using the same set up as you. Can you post some detailed photos of the mount and let me know. I was getting some help over on RR but it takes 2-3 weeks for the guy to respond.. Thanks Alot

Jamie

i fly this heli with 6s packs 4000 - 4500 and 5000mah, it flies very steady and is enjoyable, i am not a 3d guy so i am very happy with the basic manuevers.

Could you give us some info on how the pinion is mounted. The pic's are a little blurred.

Thanks. I belive you are the one I've been talking to on RR. I figured you just got busy. I have everything to complete this, just need help on getting it together.

Great stuff, you might be one of the first too do this with the Frenzy.

My only suggestion is make a counter bearing for the top of the shaft, as is, the shaft CAN and WILL shear in flight, it happens on typical sized shafts on .50's and up so it will on a shaft that extruded.

Thank you, i did my best to do this bird electric, i have totaly arround 15 flights with this set up and i am very happy. In the other hand i say that if you are looking to fine adjust something, you get into trouble with something else, so i will stay at this set up, maybe i will try the 11T pinion.
