Default Twitching servos with Jeti

Hi,

Is there something wrong with the Jeti/PPM?

I have on two completely different setups twitching servos. There is no twitching when I feed the FBL-unit with standard servo signals (one cable to the gyro for each servo channel), for me that points to the PPM. I would gladly run one cable for each channel but it's a PITA to run all the cables on a small heli...

I have a faint memory of others experiencing the same thing with Jeti PPM. One time I thought about replacing my current gyros to gyros supporting UDI, but there seems to be problem with that protocol too...

Too bad no gyros support ExBus, maybe that would work best with Jeti?

I would check the cable run of the PPM connection. You want to keep it as short as possible and keep it away from other cables and electronics. It may be noise getting into the connection.

I haven't seen twitching but I have had noise getting into the cable causing my throttle to momentarily go to zero which meant my ESC shut down and started a slow spool up.

I have only had this issue with one of my helis so will be trying it on UDI when I repair it.

BTW: the new Spirit FBL will take EX bus input but the issue is then getting telemetry at the same time as most RX setups use the same connector for both.

Thanks! I will try and shorten the cable and let it sit on the bench for a while and observe for any twitching! Right now I'm using "full size" receivers, but I will probably have to get some RSat2s if my experiment shows no twitching.

I'm just throwing things out here, some might not appy.

Try setting the pmw to the amount of channels your using.
Set rx to "auto" for the servo pulse width
Try setting tx to 50 hz in stead of 100 or visa versa.

Again, throwing ideas out.i don't have my tx in front of me to see if any apply for pmw.
