Default 6HVU - Preassembled by factory

Well buddies, I'm about to start my 6HVU build. Before even unpacking the stuff, I took a look in the manual.

In several places I can read "preassambled by factory" along details about loctiting and greasing, but I'm not sure whether these details are intended for the first build (new kit) or just for maintenance/rebuild.

The question is, may I assume everything tagged as "preassembled" is properly greased and loctited, ready for use? Or is it better to dismantle and double check it?

Thanks in advance!

Always better to take apart and make sure everything is greased and locktite. Very little comes pre assembled with the 6hvU so its no big deal.

Just for the record, both bolts at the main rotor's spindle had no loctite at all, although the thrust bearings were pre-greased. The remaining bolts were loctited.

The tail case and the tail rotor were loctited as well.

In the end, I disassembled everything (they used low-strength locitite, I guess, because the bolts came off quite easily). I reassembled everything with medium-strength loctite.

Cheers!

The feather shaft has never been locktited from the factory but we used to have an addendum in the kit stating that the customer needed to locktite the feather shaft bolts.

Now that you said it, I remember I've seen this addendum in my Atom 500 kit.

Make sure that you check the tail grip bearings for grease! The thrust bearings in the head usually have grease, the ones in the tail don't usually seem to.
