Default Anyone had bearings go bad in SZ4926 yet?

First of all what size are they? If I am not mistaken 8x19x6 but I am not 100% sure as I could not get them out yet. Can someone confirm?

When changing my pinion yesterday I noticed that the counter bearing is already gone after about 20-25 flights which is fine I guess, but then I decided to check the SZ4926 bearings and to my surprise the top one is also notchy and even loose a little and the bottom one is so so but still needs replacement. Also the top bearing looks like it was tapped in and the top bearing seal look like it was damaged in the process. Otherwise the motor is working great but I noticed it started to run hotter which can probably be contributed to the bearings. What I don't get is that these bearings are large and there is a counter bearing on the shaft. How could those go so fast? Maybe bad out of box Not sure as I have not checked when I got it. I have not monitored the temps properly from the beginning so no data to compare with.

The bearing is 8x19x6. I only have 35 flights on mine and it is making a lot of noise. At least I'm almost positive it's coming from the motor. I replaced all of the main shaft bearing and the main shaft and I'm still getting the noise. My motor is running really hot, too. I don't have an IR thermometer, so I don't know the temperature, but it's too hot to touch and keep a finger on it. I pulled it apart and one of the bearing seal retaining clips was just loose inside of the motor can. I had this same exact thing happen on my Hacker motor (that this SZ replaced) and the retaining clip flew around inside the can and cut up some of the wires. On the bearing that the clip came off of, both of the seals were all dinged up. I have my SZ in a Synergy E7 and I had some spare 8x19x6 bearings from it, so I went ahead and replaced the bearing that was falling apart. Unfortunately, it didn't fix my issue. I'm still getting the really loud sound. I guess I'll get in touch with Mike and see what he thinks.

I was loving this motor, it's a beast!

Quite an old thread

My 4926 has been running well. I also rewound it to 6+7 YY 1.6mm and opened up the slots for much better cooling. Comes down only warm after some abuse. With this wind its now 520KV and perfect for running 13t slant pinion.

Yeah, I found it when I started searching for issues with this motor. I've had really bad luck with motors in this helicopter. This is the third motor I've had in it. This one was making great power and I had high hopes that I'd be set for a while.
