I want to pick a fight. I propose that it does not matter which way you install main blade grips. It will fly the same.

Lever arms leading or trailing....

Sorry, no argument here. I agree with you. It also doesn't matter which way the tail blades spin.

The leading edge/trailing edge thing is very debatable as there are a pile of variables. Tail rotation, on the other hand, is pretty much best to have tail blades rotating into the down wash of mains. I experimented with tail rotation in the past and found the tail to be less crisp and loosey goosey if rotating the 'wrong' way. It was a fun and interesting experiment and the results in my situation and the machine I tried it on were definitive.

I'm not talking about the tail at all. Just the main blade grips.

When you attach them to the feathering shaft it does not matter what side you put them on.

Only the stock plastic grips have a recess on the "bottom" for the nut. But if you flipped them over and put the nut on top...it don't really matter.

I think if you flipped the tail grips your piro would be backwards...

I take it all back. I have only been thinking about cyclic inputs. But like the tail....pitch will be a one way street.

Both tail and main blades must be installed the right direction or your pitch will be reversed.

You weren't wrong to assume you could put the pitch links on the other side of the grip, but the pitch travel would be reversed and you would have to setup your FBL unit accordingly.

There might also be problems with some head designs that are designed to have them on one specific side. A flybar-equipped head would go completely bonkers.

Reverse your servo directions in the FBL, and you get around this issue. Your swash would simply move down instead of up, for positive pitch.

I flipped the tail grips on my 450 Pro for more tail pitch. Adjusted my FBL setup accordingly, and it was fine.

ROTFLMAO!

(and this isn't argument, it's simple contradiction...).
