I removed the 72 Mhz module and plugged in the 2.4 TM14 and it says the RF module is not plugged in and to turn off the transmitter and plug in the module.

The TM14 module is plugged in and the lights are blinking on the module.

Any ideas?

Are You sure it's not saying wrong module ?

Mine does this, if a model is selected which uses different module. I change model to the needed model, and first time I have to change the freq. to use the 2.4 ghz.

What dkpodder said or you may need to upgrade the firmware in the TX for it to recognize the TM14. Firmwares for the 14MZ older than about two years will not know about the 2.4 GHz as it comes in the TM14.
