Default Nano behavior

My nano seems to spasm or something when hovering. This began recently. It will be hovering and suddenly jerk slightly in one direction and then very quickly return to hovering. It doesn't cause my helicopter to fly away or anything. But I has been doing this a lot the past two days. Also, its been toilet-bowling when hovering and when going from inverted to upright I frequently loose tail control and possible other control from a brief amount of time (like 1-3 seconds maybe.)

What could possibly be wrong with my nano?

Your problem with the jerking one direction then back to hover sounds like you need to clean your servos. Take the servo apart and clean the contact strip with some Deoxit.
The toilet bowl effect could be the feather shaft tightness.

Yes, this. I used some electronics cleaner spray stuff I got from Radio Shack. It made an instant improvement.

The feathering spindle being loose can cause a tbo and shaking while hovering.

Tbo is almost always caused by feathering shaft over tightness. Vibration from under tight.

The xtreme DFC grips work great for eliminating to from the feathering shaft issue. It is just right length to tighten fully and it is 1.5mm thick to resist bending and thereby keeping tracking on it is also adjustable on the xtreme DFC. I have the xtreme and the lynx DFC heads and the xtreme is much better imo. Plus never lose links. Best upgrade I have.

+1 on extreme dfc.
